No, that's not a real Cockroach, as I thought initially. It's one of Ashes toy Cockroaches he got for Christmas. One of the boys must have been playing with it and left it oh so cleverly by a forgotten morning sandwich. Proof it's not real? I picked it up
Just a typical morning in a household filled with boys and their bug toys. No coffee was spilled or harmed so it's all good.

Ha ha, that's awesome, and by awesome,I mean, sort of gross. It's ALMOST as if they set it up like that for you. And who gave him toy cockroaches?
I am guilty of being the one who gave them the Cockroach toys. Ashe asked Santa for them :/ Thats partially why I was able to figure out it was a faux roach before my coffee and contacts. (If you're interested I found them at Borders bookstores of all places).
yeah it does look like they set it up but I think it was pure coincidence. That or my 3 yr old is more of an evil genius than I surmised....
Hahaha! I've had similar experiences with my three boys. They too have some toy insects incliding a realistic cockroach. A few friends have been a bit startled the first time they saw it.
